Intentions:

I was inspired to create this project because of my own experience with a very traumatic birth, which retriggered prior sexual assault trauma. I had an emergency c-section and was unable to do skin-to-skin with my baby in her first moments outside of my womb. I had massive blood loss and two blood transfusions, and a significant allergic reaction to the antiseptic used on my tummy. After leaving the hospital, I struggled to bond with my baby due to PTSD and PPD. I sought help at a ketamine clinic, and it was very effective. This was an excellent option for me because it did not interfere with breastfeeding. I have been working with plant medicine for several years, and music has always been an essential part of the journey, sometimes more so than the plant itself. The goal is to sell the final product to OBGYN offices and hospitals in a physical form for patients to listen to. It will also be marketed to healers. I have been in conversation with a company called Oula Health, which is a potential clinic where music can be played.  

Giving Back:

In this effort, I want to give back to the listeners seeking healing, our creators, and the medicine workers worldwide. One potential avenue to help would be through our Indiegogo fundraising efforts. We can include information to donate to your community. Upon funding the project, some money will go towards uplifting mothers in communities where we have received knowledge and music to better humanity.

The goal of the womb music project is not only to be a healing music experience around the topic of womb trauma but also to be a vehicle for social change. We intend to create a product to bring attention and awareness to mental and physical struggles around women’s health.

We also aim to uplift the voices of artists who are mothers or on the journey to motherhood.  We will also donate any excess funds raised towards charities and causes connected to the creators, with special attention towards uplifting women, mothers, and children in communities that are most often ignored or forgotten. 

Where Will You Hear WOMB?

The product once created will be marketed towards OB/GYN offices, psychedelic assisted therapy practitioners , both traditional and modern, and other places of healing and repair.
