ZIEGEL means “tile” in German.

We purposely avoided the unvaried camera design, the BONZART ZIEGEL has a clean but yet elegant silhouette.

The unique design was inspired by the streamlined design of traditional Japanese rooftops. Using German in our product’s name is our tradition, it is a tribute to the long history of famous Germany camera brands. That is why we took the German word “ZIEGEL” as the name of this new member of the BONZART family. 

 

 

An abundant amount of buttons and dials was placed on the back of the camera to arouse your curiosity when operating it. 

 

 

 

 

BONZART ZIEGEL offers three color variations: Black, Turquoise and Rose.

 

 

You can also think of the front of BONZART ZIEGEL as a small curved canvas for you to unleash your creativity. 

Spruce up your camera with decoration stickers that come with the package. You can also use markers to draw on the front or even use beads and studs to decorate the front side, making it gorgeous, punk or wild as you wish.

The BONZART is not only a camera, but it is also an accessory to up your styling game.

A 6mmφ strap wheel on the top of the camera is compatible with most camera straps and carabiners. Its compact 8cm x 9cm body makes it versatile enough to be carried with one hand, on your shoulder, around the neck or even hooked on your bag or belt loops! Show off your BONZART ZIEGEL in a way that best suits your style.  

 

 

 

 

You may have taken innumerable shots with a host of cameras and smartphones. But the BONZART ZIEGEL is softer, simpler and more unique than any other photography tool that you’ve ever used.

 

 

Shooting with BONZART ZIEGEL is very simple with no tedious initial setup, and the camera uses AA battery so you never have to charge it.

In contrast to the easy setup, there are various functions and modes on the BONZART ZIEGEL that invites you to dive deeper into photography.

 

 

 

The shooting format can be selected from a normal 4:3 aspect ratio, 1:1 squared ratio or 16:9 cinematic ratio.

 

 

 

 

BONZART ZIEGEL features 8 color modes, you can switch between different modes easily with the dial. Have fun combining the modes with other settings like exposure and white balance to produce unique expressions.

BONZART ZIEGEL is equipped with two types of frames reminiscent of film photography, the 35mm and 120mm.

Each frame comes with three versions: 1. film counter + logo, 2. film counter + logo(black & white version), 3. Plain version

Only 4: 3 aspect ratio with 5 megapixels or less is supported when shooting with these two frames.

Touch panels can easily be found on many devices, we are used to operating with touch controls, but BONZART ZIEGEL insists to embrace physical buttons.

Switching between colour effects, frames, digital zoom or EV, most options can be accessed without opening a menu.

We believe that by doing so we can create a user experience as fun as we have experienced with the portable gaming devices during the 1990s.

 

 

 

 

Double exposure is also available and can easily be done with the camera’s double exposure mode.

Unleash your ideas and inspiration, you can create an abnormal world with a simply by pressing the shutter twice.

 

 

A LED ring light that can be adjusted from two levels of brightness is mounted around the lens.

 

 

With the LED ring light, you can shoot in situations where there is little to no light. 

 

 

Give your photos a unique touch with manual colour customization with our filter plates. Simply slip in the plate on the LED ring light, it fits perfectly and securely locks in place.

 

 

The LED ring light can be switched on without turning on the camera in case you need a temporary light source. 

 

 

 

Dive deeper with the BONZART ZIEGEL 2-in-1 conversion lens. Shoot wide-angle with the whole lens, remove the top part to use as a macro lens.

BONZART is a new camera brand born in Tokyo in 2012.

We created BONZART AMPEL in 2012. It is the world’s first twin-lens digital camera, inspired by the twin-lens reflex camera. It was sold worldwide as a miniature-styled camera that uses optical processing, featured in The Wall Street Journal and many other media.

The BONZART’s philosophy is to produce camera with unique design, simple operation and ability to stimulate playfulness. 

 

 

Cameras are no longer a necessity for anyone who wishes to casually take photos as smartphones can easily do the job. While major camera brands are focusing on making professional cameras with super high-end quality and performances. BONZART has its own category that aims to create a new style of cameras that does not follow trends.

Hello everyone. We are very excited to introduce the new BONZART camera to everyone around the world.

Since we launched our first original camera BONZART AMPEL in 2012, we have been working in Tokyo as a unique toy camera speciality store that sells both our own cameras and various toy cameras. And in 2016, we started developing a new camera so that not only Japan but everyone around the globe can enjoy the fun of toy cameras.

About 4 years from the start of this project. Within the limits, such as the appearance design of the camera, the atmosphere of the photos that can be taken, and the user experience, we have been through a rapid trial and error process to make the camera more usable and more enjoyable.

 

 

For BONZART, a toy camera is about design, fashion, art, sometimes a little distraction, or magic that transforms your everyday into something else completely. Above all, you can have fun using just a camera, without any specialized knowledge or techniques. With this in mind, we continue to make detailed updates to the BONZART ZIEGEL.

Probably the present age is an era where we take more photos than ever since the camera was invented. I personally use a variety of cameras according to the situation, such as single-lens reflex cameras, smartphone cameras, sometimes even action cameras. I also process photos with numerous editing software and applications.

BONZART ZIEGEL is a new proposal from us after our experience with all sorts of cameras and tools. If you’re a photographer with a high-end camera, you can enjoy a little break with our camera. If you’ve only taken pictures with your mobile phone, you can easily enjoy the fun of operating a camera with BONZART ZIEGEL. Also, if you like crafting and painting, you can even create a one-in-the-world unique camera.
