Adam Raises €3 Million to Expand Home Improvement Services

Adam, a Prague-based startup, is transforming the home improvement industry by making it easy to find and book reliable tradespeople. The company has just raised €3 million in late-seed funding from Brighteye, which will support its ambitious plans to expand beyond Europe and into more construction trades.

Founded with the goal of modernizing the way clients connect with tradespeople, Adam simplifies the process of booking services online. The platform has primarily focused on painting services and apartment renovations but has already served three times the number of projects year-on-year and completed over 15,000 jobs.

Adam’s co-founder, Roman Sysel, highlights the startup’s mission: “Traditional craftsmanship is in need of modernization. We decided to tackle this complex situation one trade at a time. Our vision is that one day you will be able to build an entire house through Adam.”

With the new funding, Adam plans to solidify its presence in existing European markets and expand into new cities and countries outside of Europe. The company also aims to broaden its offerings to include more trades and build a development team to enhance automation and customer experience.

Brighteye’s Founding Partner, Ben Wirz, expressed excitement about supporting Adam: “Adam is modernizing a traditional industry, providing clients with a hassle-free experience while empowering tradespeople through continuous training and professional development. This ensures high-quality services for customers and better opportunities for craftsmen.”

Adam’s platform significantly boosts efficiency for tradespeople by handling site inspections, work planning, and customer communication. This allows professionals to triple the number of jobs they can handle each month, increasing their earnings while reducing costs for customers. “Customers save money while craftsmen earn more. It’s a win-win situation all around,” explained co-founder Jakub Dvorak.

The startup’s rapid growth and positive customer feedback have impressed investors. Adam replaces complicated price lists with a simple online calculator that provides instant job cost estimates, allowing customers to book services with a single click. The platform then connects customers with available professionals, ensuring timely and successful job completion.

Roman Novacek, partner at Presto Ventures, praised Adam’s achievements: “It’s remarkable to follow Adam’s success and the results they’ve achieved since our initial investment. We’re proud to be Adam’s first VC investor.”

With its innovative approach and new funding, Adam is set to revolutionize the home improvement industry on a global scale.
