World Class Disc Golf 

North Cove is one of the premier disc golf courses in the world.  With multiple courses on UDiscs’s Top 100, our aspiration is to become the Augusta National of Disc Golf.  

We put everything into building up this property.  Since 2020 we’ve built out a clubhouse, bar and restaurant, golf carts, glamping, and three world class 18 hole courses.  We’ve hosted the Disc Golf Pro Tour, College Disc Golf National Championships, and dozens of other amazing tournaments.  Located in the heart of the Blue Ridge Mountains, our property is in one of the most beautiful locations in the world. 

Heartbreaking Devastation in the Aftermath of Hurricane Helene

North Cove’s Disc Golf Course was destroyed by Hurricane Helene and we need your help rebuilding. 

North Cove DGC has been a labor of love for so many amazing humans since 2020. As we approached the entrance on the morning of September 30th (a moment I will never forget), my heart sank. The destruction was indescribable. Tears filled our eyes.

Every bridge crumbled into bits. An actual river of debris littered the entire property. Totaled cars in the middle of the fairway. Our entire maintenance shed filled with mud, all our equipment totaled. Trees, hundreds of feet tall, ripped out and thrown about.  No signs of a world class course. Everything we worked so hard for, gone.

We Will Rebuild and We Will Be Stronger

North Cove Leisure Club is a pillar of our local community and hosts disc golfers from all over the world.  Our local community has banded together. We are resilient. We’re committed.

We’re asking for the help of the global disc golf community. The road ahead is long and expensive. Your funds are extremely impactful.

Partnership with Another Round 

In September we invited the team at Another Round to come visit our property.  They shared our vision for North Cove’s potential to be the Augusta National of Disc Golf.  

We shook hands and agreed to a strategic partnership.  A team that was going to help us take North Cove to the next level.  

And one week later Hurricane Helene hit.  Devastation.  

But Another Round didn’t flinch.  And we are extremely grateful and excited to have them involved in this rebuilding effort. 

The History of North Cove

North Cove Leisure Club started way back in 2009.  In graduate school at Appalachian State, our capstone project was to write a business plan.  I envisioned building an outdoor lovers paradise with disc golf, mountain biking, and the most scenic music venue east of the Mississippi.  All the things I loved to do myself in the beautiful Blue Ridge Parkway – which was less than an hour from where I went to college.  

After graduate school, I was fortunate enough to be a part of multiple startups; one of which became a successful business in Asheville.  It was through those experiences that I gained the confidence to take on this dream that I had been refining for over a decade.  

In 2020, I decided it was time. I knew the perfect property.  So perfect that I didn’t even consider any other.  It was right off the Blue Ridge Parkway surrounded by Pisgah National Forest, perfectly halfway between Boone and Asheville.  We purchased a golf course and country club, and began the process of building an inclusive outdoor hub in the heart of Appalachia. A team of people who all banded together with a unified vision.  

Our first big partnership was with Innova – who designed and implemented three different 18 hole courses.  

Over the past five years we’ve:

• Hosted 2023 Silver Series Pro Tour & three Collegiate National Championships
• $150k in revenue in 2022 from disc golf alone with 2023 exceeding projections by over 15%
• Successfully completed renovations to our Clubhouse, Birdie’s
• Hosted our first wedding for popular disc golfer Big Germ & his bride. 
• 10 glamping luxury Stout Tents 
• Cleared the land for the music venue

Put simply, our goal all along has been to be the best disc golf course in the world.

North Cove was built with a community focus.  Our community locally.  And the global community of people who love the sport of Disc Golf.  

We will build back WNC together and stronger than ever. We will continue our commitment to support our local community and economy, buying from local vendors wherever possible, hiring locals, and investing in this community at every turn.
