THE CAMPAIGN

We are thrilled to announce the crowdfunding campaign for “Manna War,” a faith inspiring  story of one of hip hop’s unsung underground legends. Based on the true events of the life of J.S.Adams (one of the subjects of the Oscar winning film, Scared Straight), this powerful film explores loss, the personal battles, the transformative power of faith, and the pursuit of purpose in the midst of adversity.

THE FILM
“Manna War” follows the life of Double O, a dominant force in the underground battle rap scene of the late 1980’s.  As he and his crew navigate the  treacherous streets of New Jersey, Double O meets his future wife and finds himself considering an alternative to the violent world of drug deals, robbery, and hustling.  Then, through a series of tragic events and chance encounters, he comes face to face with a truth that changes his life forever.

Witness the rise, fall, and redemption of an early hip hop legend in the first faith-based Battle rap film ever.  This is a story of spiritual awakening, resilience, and triumph—a reminder that no matter where you come from, faith can guide you through life’s toughest wars.

In order to achieve this monumental task, we’ve put together a veteran team of award-winning filmmakers that have been in the industry for more than 25 years. In addition, the team is dedicated to producing high quality, faith-based, content that will push the boundaries of the medium and enthrall audiences.  

RECRUITMENT
To bring this powerful and uplifting story to life, we are seeking to raise  a budget of $120,000  through this campaign. These funds will go directly toward the project, covering essential costs in the production pipeline such as:

– Production crew & equipment
– Location shoots
– Cast and talent
– Set design and costumes
– Post-production (editing, sound, and visual effects)

Your support will not only help us complete this film but also share a message of hope and faith that has the power to inspire countless lives.

Also, keep in mind, if we exceed the goal we will not only continue to enhance the production quality of the film visually by investing in more period accurate elements, but,  we’ll also be able to gain access to higher profile talent to participate.
