Hi there, my story is a simple one. I was walking our dog down at the coast one afternoon and noticed the sheer number of plastic water bottles strewn across not only the beach but several were just dropped beside the public bins as there wasn’t room for them to fit in. It made no sense to me why consumers are still spending so much money on water in a plastic bottle that just ends up in a landfill or exported via the oceans to another landfill port, or accidentally ingested by our sea life en route.

At home, we always filter our tap water and so I started to research the facts on tap water filtration, bottled water origins and single use plastic water bottle waste. As it turns out, over 40% of bottled water is tap water! Sampling products on the market that were available to me all do similar to what WaterBean does in terms of filtration except WaterBean has one distinct advantage – it’s portable. 

You can pop a WaterBean into ANY sports bottle and refill from the tap or any public water source and it will remove chlorine, impurities and even add a little magnesium. Water tastes so much better and for travelling it’s the ideal companion.
