About me

The blue world beneath the sea surface is my home. I have been diving for more than thirty years and have been taking underwater pictures for the same amount of time. The underwater photo camera has accompanied me since the first dives. However, in the last few years the underwater video camera replaced the underwater photo camera which added a new dimension – time. Instead of capturing moments, I started looking for the stories of the inhabitants below the sea surface. This became a new big challenge.

Story

A few years ago I decided to start systematically exploring the Adriatic Sea. I devoted all my attention to the Adriatic Sea, especially when I realized that probably there has not been any documentary film about this beautiful sea made or published yet. Adriatic Sea cuts deep into the heart of Europe and has significant impact on our lives today. And it had it in the past since Greek and Roman ancient civilizations. I am aware that I have far from filmed everything. In fact, there is much more that still remains hidden from our eyes. Our seas and oceans are still so vast and unexplored. Today we know much more about the vast universe and distant galaxies than we do about life in the depths of our oceans. Nevertheless, over time, the individual stories gradually began to merge into a single story.

The documentary will take you to a world that is inaccessible to many people, to the endless blue, down to the seabed and into the caves that are only occasionally touched by sunlight. And also into such caves, where the sun’s rays never penetrate. You will meet different creatures that you probably have never seen before. You will be surprised to find out that different fish have different characters. Just like humans. By supporting this project, you will be the first to see this film. The first puzzle

Instead of material for one documentary film I filmed so much material so I decide to split it into four documentary underwater films. Thus the series Pearls of the Adriatic Sea was born. Documentary film Pearls of the Adriatic Sea – North Region is the first one which I would like to share with wide audience. This project includes this film only. Other films which will follow are:

To overcome the time gap till June 2025 I decided additionally to share to all backers an amazing film about my encounters on Lavezzi island near Corsica in Mediterranean sea. Diving with them is without any doubt the peak of all my underwater experiences. I am not sure but most probably I could be the first diver who took selfies with any fish. This underwater film will be delivered to you by March 2025.

Bottom line

• after an intensive research on the Internet and many inquiries, I do believe that a comprehensive documentary film about the Adriatic Sea has not been filmed or presented to the public yet
• I have already filmed the entire video material for the documentary film
• so far I did the post production by myself
• I have financed all the expenses appeared so far exclusively by myself
• from now on, I need your support to be able to involve in the project professional team who will take care of further post-production and the final layout of the documentary film (musical background, text preparation and translation, narration, sound dubbing, …)
• it is planned to deliver the film to you until June 2025
• all the gifts except the documentary film will be delivered to you by the end of January 2025
