The Code Black Film acts as a precursor to a 12 Part tale called the Omega Series.  This Episodic Story is meant to give closure to the original group of heroes that have been all but forgotten by the earth citizenry. The Code Black Film takes place before the events of the series kicks off.

As die hard fans of the original Power Rangers series, it always irked us  that some of the rangers didn’t have a proper send off. The Omega series is a 12 part layered story that takes place in the future and shows the lives of the original team in the aftermath of their decision to be heroes in a realistic fashion.  The details surrounding them being stripped of their powers, the return of their abilities and how current circumstances trigger a cascade of events that initiate a detailed and exciting story that all ranger fans can be engaged in.

Walter Emanuel Jones, the original black ranger is back in this new and gritty tale that expands upon the ranger universe. The stakes are high in the struggle to free cities under siege and in exchange for immunity Z has agreed to assist the Earth Government in the fight for earths freedom.  With his powers severely limited now, he works to find a balance between helping the planet in its liberation efforts and raising a family.

It has been 15 years since the rangers last appeared.  Half the planet is now under siege by remnants of Repulse-Rule. The Earth Administration now operates under one government and has galvanized their resources to take the planet back one region at a time.  Z, the last active member of a once revered team of heroes, works with the earth government to aid in the liberation effort of planet earth.

A new weapon recently developed by the enemy has tipped the power scales in their favor. This new technology has sent a wave of terror through the earth government as they scramble to find a way to neutralize the threat.  Hope is in short supply within the citizenry and the need for something good to believe is higher than ever.

As the stakes rise in the race for Earth’s liberation, unrelated events trigger a separate set of problems for Z and force past memories to resurface while dealing with the impending threat   of total alien occupation.

This being a SciFi piece, we plan to incorporate VFX into not only the more fantastical shots involving the action sequences, shoot outs, alien effects and super power showcases.

The overwhelming part of the money raised here will be directed to the production of the film. Of course, we had to take into account some boring (but important) things like accounting and additional staff to make this project work.
