That’s why we created FeatherLite – a super lightweight EDC Pocket Knife. With a weight of 0.9 oz and 7mm slim profile (thickness) and 125 mm in overall length, this pocket knife provides a large cutting blade edge without the added weight/size/thickness of a bulky knife.

Pocket Knife That Does it All:  A flat head screwdriver and pry tool are must-haves for everyday tasks. The screwdriver tightens screws, and the pry tool opens boxes, removes nails, and breaks glass. With both in a single pocket knife, you’re ready for anything without carrying heavy, bulky tools.

Lightweight Material: By incorporating strong and lightweight material like Grade 5 Titanium (used in aerospace applications) and premium G10 handle scales, we’re able to achieve a feather weight like pocket knife without sacrificing on durability, strength or blade size. In open blade position, the pocket knife is 125 mm long and weighs less than 1 oz.  With a slim and light weight construction,  FeatherLite is designed to enhance your everyday carry experience.

Balancing Strength and Weight: To further reduce weight without sacrificing strength, we have incorporated weight reduction holes on the inner handles to optimize balance and overall weight.

We focused on the core function therefore we minimized materials, components and unnecessary complexity by utilizing simplistic forms, and avoided excess ornamentation to achieve a pure form of elegance. The simplicity of the design brings out a clean look that would never go out of style. Elegance with superior functionality is what FeatherLite is all about.

Blade – We chose to use D2 premium steel for the blade as it provides excellent wear resistance and balanced toughness to provide a superior long lasting edge retention. The high chromium content in this steel makes it more corrosion-resistant and performs better than most tool steels.

We selected a wharncliffe shape to enhance the functionality for everyday use. It provides a clean controlled cuts and superior slicing performance. The blade style is a perfect all-around design that is versatile, durable and extremely effective for everyday cutting tasks.

Liner Locking Mechanism: We chose a liner lock mechanism to bring a sturdy, reliable and dependable lock mechanism. It uses the strength of the inner spring bar to lock the blade in place while minimizing any play. When the blade is fully open, the tension slips the bar inward to make contact with the butt of the blade, keeping it firmly in place and preventing it from closing. To disengage a liner lock, push the spring bar “down” so that it clears contact from the butt of the blade. This lets you use your index finger to push the blade just enough so that it keeps the bar pushed down so you can remove your thumb from the blade path, then continue to safely close the knife. When the knife is closed, the spring bar is held under tension and sufficient force to prevent accidental opening of the blade.
