Traditionally DNS requests are sent in plain text between the client and the DNS server. DNS over HTTPS (DoH) sends DNS requests encrypted over HTTPS. It makes DNS exchange more secure and protects user privacy.

The Firewalla team is made up of former Cisco engineers with a desire to use our experience in networking and cybersecurity to secure the world’s internet. We believe powerful cybersecurity options should be accessible, affordable, and easy to use. We are a small team, with a shared passion for architecture, design, and keeping our customers happy.

This is our fourth crowdfunding. We have delivered thousands of units in the three previous campaigns, on time and early. We truly enjoy the journey of working with great customers like you, so we are here again! Together, we secure the world. 

Risks & Challenges

Since the world is recovering from the pandemic, there will be unknown risks with any hardware projects at the moment. Our team delivered the Firewalla Gold on time during the pandemic lockdown, so we do have good experience navigating the unknown. In case anything unusual comes up, we will make sure it is fully transparent and you know exactly what we are doing.

Notes

1. Firewalla Purple comes with a default power adapter with a USA plug. For customers outside of the USA, we are offering an international power adapter converter as an add-on during checkout. The power adapter used is Type C (>=3A) based, very likely you already have a few stashed somewhere.

2. If you are located outside of the United States, Firewalla Inc is not responsible for import duties or taxes, and processing fees from shipping providers.
