Metsä Wood Birch – a high quality Finnish plywood product from Metsa, a leading European wood manufacturer.

The birch plywood originates from sustainably managed Northern forests where growth exceeds use. The used wood is traceable and comes from certified or controlled forests with certified PEFC Chain of Custody.

Where are we now

We have been working for months from beginning of 2022 to get our idea and concept into prototyping. We have invested in an industrial grade CNC machine for all our in-house prototyping and pre-production, which helps visualise and speed up our R&D process.  

Between July and September 2023, we recruited a group of early testers from London, Melbourne and Hong Kong to play around with our MoCrates.  With their feedback comments we finalised our product design in September 2023.  We sourced our key production material Baltic Birch plywood from Metsa, a leading European wood manufacturer based in Finland.  All production material for our early bird orders are in our workshop.  Our first batch for early bird orders are now under production and will be ready for shipping in February 2023.

In terms of material for our mass production, we recently secured and confirmed a bulk order with Metsa.  The mass production plywood will be arriving in March 2023.  Once this bulk order arrives, we will have all we need to put us into our mass production stage. Since we are a small self-funded company with limited resources, your help and support would provide us with the resources needed to continue to promote and develop new MoDules for this MoCrate series.

Shipping 

Shipping charges have been very volatile due to the geopolitical conflict and supply chain issues globally.  We believe shipping charges will likely change by the time we ship in 1H 2023.  To give you the package at the best available price, we have decided to charge you shipping just before your package is shipped. 

You’ll receive a form just before your package is ready to ship, to fill in your address and choose your preferred mode of transportation (standard, express…).

Below are the shipping estimates based on December 2022 prices. Please keep in mind that things could change.
