————————————————–

Summary

my1tap helps people living with dementia (care receivers) and family/ friends/ professionals who care for them (caregivers) managing day-to-day life at the same time.

Care receivers

Care receivers can use the app by reading, listening to, or watching content caregivers share with/ create for them. This includes locations of their caregivers and where they are going or when they will be back home, reminders/ other messages, what to do today/ where they have been, as well as entertainment features like favorite music or videos. All features can be used by tapping a single button. Features can also start automatically as notifications or voice/ video recordings if scheduled or manually triggered by caregivers.

Caregivers

Caregivers are provided with profile options to set up the app experience of their care receivers. Setting profile options can be as simple as sharing locations and calendars. It can also mean adding and scheduling individual messages or voice/ video recordings for creating a more personalized experience for the care receiver(s). Most options can be set through apps they are already using.

Care receivers have different capabilities depending on the stage of the disorder and caregivers have different time commitments. my1tap is developed to support these needs with simplicity and efficiency through integrating with other apps like maps, calendars and messengers. my1tap will not cure the condition of care receivers, and it does not aim to help slow down the disorder. It is designed to help care receivers maintaining and improving independence as well as reducing anxiety and loneliness. It is also designed to help caregivers to more easily manage their commitment and involve others in caring.

The my1tap difference

Apps currently available on the market serve different purposes, from resources for studying dementia to games that might help improving memory. Some apps help organizing specific day-to-day activities.

my1tap is designed to help both – care receivers and caregivers – for a wide range of day-to-day activities by integrating with existing apps. Integrating with apps like maps, messages and calendars has two main advantages:

  • These apps are constantly being further developed and tested by many individuals and organizations which improves the features of my1tap.
  • Users can continue using the apps they are familiar with and minimize the need to enter data. my1tap also allows creating a user experience for care receivers depending on their preferences and capabilities and can be adjusted to change at any time.

my1tap will support multiple languages starting with English, Chinese, and German. The app will be compliant with regulatory frameworks such as GDPR and PCI.
