Hi, Kickstarter. We’re EDC MONSTER TEAM. We design and make premium quality EDC tools. This is our 6th Kickstarter project, up to now, we have successfully funded 5 projects, deliver over 10k products to over 50 countries all over the world. Each project has been a stepping stone, building on the success of its predecessor. 

As our sixth product, this multifunctional pry bar represents the culmination of our experience and dedication to creating top-quality EDC products. Our first-generation pry bar was our most funded project to date, and we’ve taken extensive feedback from our backers and reviewers to create a significantly improved version. Designed for everyday carry, this pry bar combines multiple tools into one compact and portable device. The size of our pry bar is carefully considered—small enough to be easily portable, yet large enough to be highly functional. Measuring approximately 13.7 cm, about the length of a pen, and weighing around 95g, roughly the weight of two eggs, it strikes the perfect balance between practicality and convenience. For added ease of carry, we’ve included a lanyard hole and a back clip, ensuring that this tool is always ready to assist with your daily tasks, no matter where you are.

The integrated back clip enhances the portability of this pry bar, allowing you to securely attach it to your pocket, belt, or backpack strap. This clip is designed for quick and easy access, ensuring that your tool is always within reach when you need it. Our multi-function pry bar is a masterpiece of engineering, crafted entirely from GR5 titanium. This material is renowned for its exceptional strength-to-weight ratio, ensuring that the tool is incredibly robust yet lightweight. Our prototyping process involved meticulous design iterations and rigorous testing to ensure every feature meets our high standards of quality and functionality. The bottle opener’s position has been optimized for a more streamlined structure, the everlasting pen’s storage has been redesigned for greater security, and the clip has been upgraded to a deep carry clip, ensuring more discreet and comfortable carry.

Introduced New Functionalities: To expand the versatility of the tool, we’ve incorporated several new features. These include an adjustable wrench, a built-in ruler, a vernier caliper, and a bidirectional ratchet screwdriver with a bit driver. The integrated adjustable wrench is designed to handle a wide range of nut sizes, offering exceptional versatility in various situations. In this generation, we’ve made significant upgrades to the bit driver functionality. While retaining the highly useful bidirectional ratchet, we’ve redesigned its operation to greatly enhance both convenience and practicality. Additionally, we’ve introduced a fixed-position bit holder that adds versatility, allowing the tool to perform effectively even in tight or awkward spaces. Plus, the integrated bit storage remains, ensuring you can securely carry bits without worry.

Unlike other tools that fix the ratchet directly onto the pry bar, our innovative design uses a magnetic attachment system for the ratchet. This eliminates the need to brace the bit with your hand while in use, providing a smoother, more efficient experience. The bit attaches directly via magnet, allowing for single-handed operation and seamless repairs.

For those who prefer more control, we’ve added an additional bit holder at the top of the tool, offering a non-ratchet option. This gives you flexibility in how you approach tasks, ensuring the tool adapts to your needs for maximum performance.

Our beloved bit storage feature remains unchanged, allowing you to carry two bits securely. This compact, efficient storage solution ensures quick access and interchangeability, so you always have the bits you need within reach, without fear of losing them.

We’ve made a key improvement by relocating the everlasting pen from the front to the side of the tool. This new placement significantly reduces the risk of losing the pen while keeping it easily accessible. The everlasting pen is one of the most beloved features, offering the ability to write on virtually any surface—whether wet or dry—without the need for ink refills or replacements. Small, durable, and eco-friendly, it’s perfect for those who value functionality and sustainability. Its compact size ensures it won’t add bulk to your tool, making it an essential part of your everyday carry.

Additionally, our multi-function pry bar features a built-in ruler on its side, offering precise measurement capabilities. This ruler function adds practicality, allowing users to conveniently measure dimensions and distances during various tasks, whether for DIY projects, outdoor activities, or professional endeavors.

The integrated bottle opener lets you conveniently enjoy a cold drink outdoors, adding a touch of leisure to your adventures.

In critical emergencies, the glass breaker becomes an invaluable tool, designed to shatter windows with minimal effort. We’ve increased the number of tritium slots from two to five, offering even more opportunities for personalization and customization. With this expanded DIY space, you can choose to keep a consistent color scheme or mix and match different colors to make your pry bar truly unique. These tritium inserts not only enhance the tool’s appearance but also provide improved visibility in low-light conditions, making it easier to locate and use in any environment.

Here’s the difference between luminous tubes and tritium tubes:

• Luminous Tubes: These need to be “charged” by an external light source (like sunlight or a flashlight) and will glow for a few hours after charging. They are perfect for occasional use and provide a temporary glow when needed.
• Tritium Tubes: Unlike glow tubes, tritium tubes glow continuously for years (typically 10-20 years) without requiring any external light source. This is because tritium is a self-luminous material, making it ideal for situations where consistent, long-lasting visibility is essential, especially in low-light or nighttime environments.

We began working on this project in January, and after nearly nine months of turning the idea into reality, we’re excited to finally share it with you in September. If all goes as planned, we aim to start production early and begin shipping in January 2025. This is our sixth project, and your satisfaction means everything to us.
