After a couple of successful campaigns we went back to the drawing board with an idea of going back to our roots. Our first campaign brought us our flagship model, the Fibrous, and we wanted to do something special that we feel would honor what first gave us a place to grow. We are now proud to present our new prototype to you.
One of our true passions is to find a balance between great materials, affordability and class. The quality and durability of our products is of major concern to us and would we never release anything that we feel would violate this.
Carbon fiber temples
As usual we have put a lot of time and effort into figuring out what materials to use. As we’ve already explored the benefits of carbon fiber, this was an easy choice for the temples. We have been in love with the material since we first started our journey.
Besides looking as great as it does, it has a wide range of great qualities:
- high tensile strength
- low weight
- high chemical resistance
- high temperature tolerance
- low thermal expansion
Renewable plant-based acetate
To match our temples, we decided on trying Cellulose acetate for the frames. This is a non-petroleum based plastic that is made from natural cotton and wood fibers. It´s made from renewable materials and brings a wide range of transparency, rich colors, and finishes. The acetates of today has benefits such as:
- high strenght
- low weight
- high flexibility
Those who know us by now knows that our main objective is to beat the market prices while using the best materials possible. To give you reliable sunglasses that can take a lot of damage and are not absurdly overpriced. Why buy new glasses constantly when you can have a pair that continues to last through all conditions?
Our version of round sunglasses. With temples made of high quality carbon fiber and a frame made out of renewable acetate, this is probably our personal favorite of Hybrid sunglasses. A delicate presentation of eyewear that suits both female and male sunglass lovers.
Since the wayfarer model has been around since the early 50’s it is a must in any sunglasses collection. This is our take on the classic. A flexible, durable and lightweigh model that will hold up to any standards.
An instant classic. A dominant shape for those that wants a bit more cover. A bigger model than the previous two but still as lighweight and delicate.
The lenses might just be the most important part of a pair of sunglasses. And what good would they do if they didn’t match the high quality of the frames? We have searched long and hard to find the right lenses and are proud to present the lenses for our new Hybrid sunglasses.
First off we use 7 layer polarized lenses that effectively reduces glare, eliminating dazzling light reflection and scattered light which makes the vision more soft and clear. The Polaroid lenses have seven layers composite materials with UV400 ultraviolet ray standard. This means that they block all wavelengths of light from 400 nm, which covers all of the UV spectrum. The first and last layer features a clear and durable scratch-resistant layer to avoid any damage you expose them to.
