El placer de perder será un film que trate con la manera en la que percibimos la violencia, también sobre la forma en la que pérdidas en nuestra vida y fuertes impactos emocionales pueden repercutir en la forma en que interactuamos con otras personas.

A través de diferentes técnicas visuales le daremos un hincapie distinto a cada una de las escenas. Es por eso que este film también tendrá un fuerte enfoque en el arte, en especial en la forma en la que vestiremos las escenas del crimen, las cuales se basaran en pinturas de la gran Remedios Varo. Esto para hacer un paralelo entre la mente de un asesino y como las personas normales percibimos situaciones tan grotescas.

Además de los conceptos morales que buscamos plasmar en esta película, no queremos dejar de lado el aspecto personal de los personajes donde sus relaciones familiares serán uno de los enfoques principales del film. De esta manera El placer de perder es como un drama familiar envuelto en un thriller de asesinos seriales.

Dada que la historia cuenta con dos protagonistas, donde ambos tienen objetivos contrastantes al del otro. Por lo mismo, nos interesó usar un lenguaje visual que dividirá el punto de vista de cada uno, pero al mismo tiempo los unirá en secciones específicas de la trama donde ellos recuerden su infancia creciendo juntos. De esta manera remarcando sus diferencias en el presente. Esto hará del film una experiencia más compleja y que retará al espectador de una manera más sutil.

VISIÓN DE PRODUCCIÓN

Estamos envueltos de energía positiva respecto a lo que esta película tiene que mostrar al mundo, esta historia que nos emociona poder compartir no es más que una de las mejores obras de cine mexicano que espera una audiencia dormida para despertar a un tema tan importante y controversial,“ El placer de perder” habla de la realidad oculta en la que vivimos de asesinos seriales que nos rodean y queremos concientizar y contar esta historia ficticia pero inspirada en una verdad eterna, o al menos eso parece “eterna” por que habla de la muerte misma, de la línea frágil que parte dos realidades, la vida y la muerte. Nuestra propuesta artística es inspirada en mayor parte por la extraordinaria, legendaria y talentosa Remedios Varo, por lo que mucho del tono de la película de siente parte de una fracción de una pintura de esta increíble artista pintora.

Existen varias razones por las cuales queremos que esta película se convierta en realidad;

Una de ellas es la originalidad del guion escrito por el mismo director, Alex Lara, los personajes y los distintos mundos y frecuencias en las que viven, más la propuesta creativa que nos pone en un nivel bastante elevando comparando otras propuestas que se han hecho realidad y han sido todo un éxito, por ser contadas desde un ojo lleno de color y contrates, que capta la atención de cualquiera.

Como productora, me objetivo queda en conjuntar al mejor equipo artístico y técnico para que esta historia tan brillante como el guion y bien contada como la imaginamos.

The pleasure of losing will be a film that deals with the way in which we perceive violence, also with the way in which losses in our lives and strong emotional impacts can affect the way we interact with other people.

Through different visual techniques, we will give a different emphasis to each of the scenes. That is why this film will also have a strong focus on art, especially in the way in which we will dress the crime scenes, which will be based on paintings by the great Remedios Varo. This to make a parallel between how the mind of a murderer and how normal people perceive such grotesque situations.

In addition to the moral concepts that we seek to capture in this film, we don’t want to leave aside the personal aspect of the characters where their family relations will be one of the main focuses of the film. In this way, The pleasure of losing is like a family drama disguised as a serial killer thriller.

Given that the story has two protagonists, where both have contrasting objectives to the other. We are interested in using a visual language that will divide each of their points of view, but at the same time will unite them in specific sections of the story where they remember their childhood growing up together. In this way, we’ll highlight their differences in the present. This will make the film a more complex experience and will challenge the viewer in a more subtle way.

We are surrounded by positive energy regarding what this film has to show to the world, this story that we are excited to share is nothing more than possibly one of the best works of Mexican cinema that awaits a sleeping audience, as to wake them up to such an important and controversial issue. The pleasure of losing speaks of the hidden reality in which we live, that of serial killers that surround us. We want to raise awareness and tell this fictitious story but inspired by the eternal truth, or at least one that feels “eternal” because it speaks about death itself, from the fragile line that splits our two realities, life and death. Our artistic proposal is inspired in large part by the extraordinary, legendary and talented Remedios Varo, so much of the tone of the film feels part of a fraction of a painting by this incredible artist.

There are several reasons why we want this movie to become a reality;

One of them is the originality of the script written by the director, Alex Lara, the characters and the different worlds and frequencies in which they live, plus the creative proposal that puts us at a quite upstanding level when compared to other projects that have come before and that have been successful. But this story will be told from viewpoint full of colour and contrasts, which will capture the attention of everyone.

As a producer, my goal is to bring together the best artistic and technical team to portray this story as brilliantly as the script is written and as well-told as we imagine it.
