Our Origin Story
It all started from a short film we made at the request of Apple. The film, called Winter Homework, needed to be shot using the iPhone 13 Pro series using ND filters to control exposure due to the non-adjustable aperture of the iPhone. Our film required 24 fps to create a cinematic experience. We looked around and didn’t find any friendly and suitable filter systems for iPhone on the market, so we decided to create the ideal filter solution for iPhone and multifarious filters. Once we began to use our design, we realized this product offers much more fun for phone videography and photography than we ever expected.

A Limitation you might need to know – Snap Filter only works on naked iPhone
We have seriously considered whether we should adapt to Phone case or make a case for Snap Filter or not. Eventually, we decided not to do this.
Because there are ton of different iPhone cases in market. They have different shapes, thickness and even magnetic force. It is very hard to adapt to all these cases, especially when we request our filter system doesn’t have ghosting.
We have also considered that design a Phone case that adapt to our filters. However, phone cases are actually like clothes for human beings in 2022. Everyone might have different tastes for their Phone cases. So we decided to leave this choice to customers.
