  First of all, Thank you so much for being here, right now, sharing this moment with me. Your time and support really means a lot to me and I honor you.

  I’m Nilo, a Cuban Singer & Songwriter, composer, producer and multi-instrumentalist living in Miami, Florida.

I was born in Santiago de Cuba, cradle of great rhythms and immortal musicians. I grew up surrounded by Art and artists which created an environment that allowed me to express myself through music. I began studying Music at 8 years old and graduated from classical guitar at the Conservatory of Music in my hometown.

My musical purpose is to make the listener feel good. With an everyday language and a simple way of writing, I love transmitting positive messages without using violent expressions or explicit sexual content. At the same time, I use my personal history and experiences as resources to express myself through song.

For the past four years I was the lead singer and songwriter at D’MENTES; a Latin Pop band that I created with my friend and guitarist Maku. We recorded several singles, music videos and an EP. We also appeared in several important stages around the country and the press and media received us with great acceptance. In 2019, we decided to part ways and explore our independent musical paths.

 I want to record and release my debut album “Esencias” as a Solo artist! this includes…. recording, mixing, mastering, manufacturing physical cds and distributing the album through all digital platforms on Planet Earth. (I want my music to be accessible to everyone).

I have written all the songs already, I have the creative ideas, the people willing to work with me and the excitement to release the Album which will be preceded by 6 singles and music videos.

I challenge the way music is made, elevating humanity by using values, emotions, technology and powerful messages in my songs and performances that create a positive impact in our lives. That is my mission.

 Making music and performing has been my passion for as long as i can remember. I feel an inner calling to share uplifting messages through music that bring more unity, love and fun to the world. I believe in Happiness, I believe in Magic. I embrace connection, freedom, love and gratitude.

 This is gonna be my first solo Album. The name I chose for it is “Esencias” ( Essences in English). As the name suggests, it is a clear statement of my influences, the values and things that move me and I consider to be really special in my life. Mostly from where I come from (geographically and genetically) but also, interconnected with who I am right now, how I see the world and what I really feel has an important role in shaping my personality.

It’s a very important project for me. I am fully immersed, body and soul in it, and that’s why with so much humility and respect, I decided to start this Kickstarter campaign: To create the best and the most honest possible piece of art, with your support and trust. 

   I am passionate about the HOW and WHY music is made and the effect it has on people. A lot of music generates separation, differences, racism, jealousy, violence and other negative feelings.

I understand why it exists and I don’t have anything against the Industry or my fellow artists. I just think differently.

I believe that music is food for your body, mind and soul, and I take responsibility as an artist for what I am putting out there.

I want to leave a positive footprint in the world and inspire other artists to do the same.This is why I have been, until now, a self funded, independent artist. I want to remain authentic to my values. I am here to elevate people through music, and now, we can do it together.

 I have created different budgets and looked at the best possible options in terms of quality and economy. The more we pledge the more we can do. Most people can’t imagine how expensive it can be to do something like this.

For this project I will have to Produce the music (Record, Mixing and Mastering) Create the Art Design for the Album (Photographer and Designer). Manufacture physical CDs (For the Rewards and also for the Press and to Submit to Awards and Festivals) and Limited Edition Vinyl Records (For you, as backers). Also, we will shoot and edit 3 music videos. This includes a lot of work as well. (Video director, Crew, locations etc.) I know people that want to collaborate with me in this project so that I am able to lower some costs. 

The Album and Videos will be distributed to all Digital Platforms and it will also be promoted across media channels ( which includes doing TV, radio, and podcast interviews) as well as social media to reach a greater audience.

 There are different rewards and different ways to pledge. For the money you pledge you will always have something in return. I’m giving you back the best of me plus the highest gratitude and love for your step forward in being part of this and co creating this important project with me.

The amount you pledge is not fixed. You can always pledge the amount you wish.

Rewards varies from Digital download of the music and videos, physical Cd, Vynil Record up to a custom Song specially for you, Vip tickets for the Album Release event, a day with me at the Studio, being credited in the Album as Executive Producer, a Private concert at your house or place of choice and many many more cool stuff.

I love giving back and gratitude is very important to me so I love the fact that we can do this.

 The more we pledge, the more we can make. The original vision/idea I had for this project was for it to be a Musical and Visual Album. It means that there would be a video for each song in the album plus comments and extra material. If we, together, exceed the 50,000 goal for this project, that would mean more funding for more videos, more production, more marketing and promotion and even extra songs. This is what I see when I close my eyes. (And I trust that).

Since I came to this country, I have been investing my energy and every single penny from working as server at restaurants and driving for uber to be able to pay for recordings, videos, photos, marketing, music equipment, showcases, show productions, traveling expenses, you name it!

Although it’s been a very fulfilling journey, it hasn’t been easy! I had to make some radical changes in my life to work on my dreams.

 I want to do something we can all feel proud of and this is what this “Crowdfunding” is all about: building this dream together.

It would mean a lot to me to have your support and make this a reality.

Soy Nilo, un cantante y compositor cubano, productor y multi-instrumentista. Vivo en Miami, Florida.

Con un lenguaje cotidiano y una forma simple de escribir, me encanta transmitir mensajes positivos sin usar expresiones violentas o contenido sexual explícito. Al mismo tiempo, uso mi historia personal y mis experiencias como recursos para expresarme a través de mis canciones.

Durante los últimos cuatro años fuí el cantante y compositor de D’MENTES; una banda de pop latino que creé con mi amigo y guitarrista Maku. Juntos, grabamos varios singles, videos musicales y un EP. También tuvimos la oportunidad de presentarnos en varios escenarios importantes del país y la prensa y los medios de comunicación nos recibieron con gran aceptación. En el 2019, decidimos explorar caminos independientes en la música.

  ¡Quiero grabar y lanzar mi álbum debut “Esencias” como artista solista! Esto incluye: grabar, mezclar, masterizar, fabricar discos físicos y distribuir el álbum a través de todas las plataformas digitales del planeta (quiero que mi música esté disponible para todas las personas)

Ya tengo las canciones escritas, las ideas creativas, las personas dispuestas a trabajar conmigo y la emoción para lanzar el álbum precedido por 6 sencillos y videos musicales.

Desafío la forma en que se hace la música, elevando a las personas mediante el uso de valores, emociones, tecnologías y mensajes poderosos en mis canciones y presentaciones que a su vez, crean un impacto positivo en nuestras vidas. Esta es mi misión.

Hacer música y actuar es lo que me encanta hacer desde que tengo memoria. Siento un llamado interno a compartir a través de la música, mensajes que traigan más unidad, amor y diversión al mundo. Creo en la felicidad y creo en la magia de la vida.

 Este será mi primer álbum en solitario. El nombre que elegí para este es “Esencias”. Como su nombre lo indica, es una muestra de mis influencias, los valores y las cosas que me conmueven y considero que son realmente especiales en mi vida. Influencias de dónde vengo (geográfica y genéticamente) pero también, interconectado con quién soy ahora, cómo veo el mundo y lo que realmente siento tiene un papel importante en mi personalidad. Un homenaje a mis raíces expresado desde mi presente.

Este es un proyecto muy importante para mí. Estoy completamente inmerso, en cuerpo y alma, y ​​es por eso que con tanta humildad y respeto, decidí comenzar esta campaña: para crear la mejor y más honesta obra de arte posible, con tu apoyo y confianza.

 Me apasiona el cómo y por qué se hace la música, y el efecto que esta tiene en las personas. Mucha música genera separación, diferencias, racismo, celos, violencia y otros sentimientos negativos.

Entiendo por qué existen y no tengo nada en contra de la industria o mis artistas colegas. Solo pienso de una manera diferente.

Creo que la música es alimento para el cuerpo, mente y alma, y ​​asumo la responsabilidad como artista en lo que estoy transmitiendo con mi arte.

Quiero dejar una huella positiva en el mundo e inspirar a otros artistas a hacer lo mismo. Es por eso que, hasta ahora, he sido un artista independiente. Quiero mantenerme auténtico a mis valores. Estoy aquí para elevar a la gente a través de la música, y ahora, podemos hacerlo juntos.

 He creado diferentes presupuestos y analizado las mejores opciones posibles en términos de calidad y economía. La mayoría de la gente no tiene idea de lo caro que puede costar hacer algo como esto.

Para este proyecto tendré que producir la música (Grabar, mezclar y masterizar) Crear el diseño de arte para el álbum (fotógrafo y diseñador). Fabricar CDs físicos (para las recompensas y también para la prensa y para enviar a premios y festivales) y discos de vinilo (acetato) de edición limitada (para ti, como patrocinador). Además, filmaremos y editaremos 3 videos musicales. Esto incluye mucho trabajo también. (Director de video, equipo, ubicaciones, etc.) Conozco personas que desean colaborar conmigo en este proyecto y por esto puedo reducir algunos costos.

El álbum y los videos se distribuirán a todas las plataformas digitales y también se promocionarán a través de los canales de medios (que incluyen entrevistas en televisión, radio y podcast), así como en las redes sociales para llegar a una mayor audiencia.

 Hay diferentes recompensas y diferentes formas de colaborar. Por el dinero que aportas, siempre tendrás algo a cambio. Te estoy devolviendo lo mejor de mí, además de mi más alta gratitud y amor por tu paso adelante a ser parte de esto y crear este importante proyecto conmigo.

La cantidad de dinero que aportas no es fija. Siempre puedes aportar la cantidad que desees.

Las recompensas varían desde la descarga digital de música y videos, CD físico, grabación de Vinilo (acetato) hasta una canción personalizada exclusivamente para tí, entradas VIP para el evento del lanzamiento del álbum, un día conmigo en el estudio, ser acreditado en el álbum como productor ejecutivo, un concierto privado en tu casa o lugar de elección y muchas cosas más interesantes.

Me encanta devolver, y la gratitud es muy importante para mí, así que me complace el hecho de que podemos hacer esto juntos.

 Mientras más dinero logremos recaudar, más podemos hacer. La visión/idea original que tuve para este proyecto era crear un álbum musical y un álbum visual. Esto significa que habría un video para cada canción de el álbum, más comentarios y material extra. Si juntos, superamos la meta de 50,000 dólares para este proyecto tendriamos más  financiación, y significaría más videos, más producción, más marketing y promoción, e incluso canciones adicionales. Esto es lo que veo cuando cierro los ojos. (Y confío en eso).

Desde que vine a este país, he estado invirtiendo mi energía y cada centavo trabajando (desde Mesero en restaurantes, hasta conduciendo para Uber) para pagar grabaciones, videos, fotos, marketing, equipos de música, presentaciones, producciones de espectáculos, viajes, gastos, etc.

Aunque ha sido un viaje muy satisfactorio, ¡no ha sido nada fácil! Tuve que hacer algunos cambios radicales en mi vida para trabajar y enfocarme en mis sueños.

 Quiero hacer algo de lo que todos podamos sentirnos orgullosos y de esto se trata esta campaña: construir este sueño juntos.

Significaría mucho para mí tener tu apoyo y hacer de esto una realidad.
