What’s special about March 15th?

 

Yes! It’s my birthday! Last year, I held a birthday fundraising event to support teenage orphans in my city (Tochigi) who have to leave their orphanage in March because they’re turning 18. A lot of you supported me and I collected ￥146,830 last year.

There were three orphans who had to leave “last March?. There are 7 orphans who have to leave this month. I would like to do another birthday fundraising event to support them this year. I know financial support isn’t everything. But when they are in their orphanage, they get financial support from the government, but that goes away after they leave.. They really need help to start their new lives! One of them is going to an automotive vocational school, and lives in the countryside. It’s difficult for people who were raised in an orphanage to buy a car once they leave. But people really need a car to live in the  countryside, so his dream is to invent a car that those people can afford to buy. The other kids also have a  dreams. I’d really appreciate it if you could support them with me. Last year, I didn’t decide on a  goal, because it was my first time doing something like this t. But many people have suggested I set a goal. So I’ve decided to set a goal of ￥370000 this year, because in Tochigi, the average monthly rent is around ￥50000. I hope we can support ￥5000 for each kid. ￥20000 is the fee for the platform. If you’ve been following me for a long time, you know why I started teaching Japanese here even though I wasn’t so fond of showing my face online. I want to provide a place where people can be themselves. (This story is too long, so I will write about it again another time.) Anyway, this project is one of the reasons I am teaching here. If you could support them, it would really motivate me to keep teaching on social media.
