The world needs laughter and a big old change right now! Helen & Harold are here to help.

Story

Summary

This is a new live action TV series.

An often bickering couple (our parents?) learn life really does start after 60 as they continually get caught up in and solve absurd and outrageous situations.

It is based on our acclaimed series “Helen & Harold” featured world-wide in short film festivals.

Our popular Facebook site “GoElderBerries“, many postings with 50K+ viewers, has created a demand for more and bigger content, with an inter-generational theme. Hence, the creation of “Helen & Harold”.

  • Harold: Everything about Harold screams Marine VET from the intense features, the surprisingly well kept figure to his no-nonsense-vibes. Helen would describe him as “an asshole. You need him. But you don’t always want to look at him”.

  • Helen: The older woman younger women pray they grow into. Think Meryl Streep had a baby with George Clooney. There’s a distinct air of elegance about her.  She’s aging like fine wine. A lady of status. Harold would describe her as “lemon meringue pie. You love it but it’s killing you slowly from the inside”.

What We Are Looking For

We are looking for contributors to help us produce the already written TV pilot, “Helen & Harold; Wrong Turn”, with plots outlined for the entire season. It will be directed by the student Academy Award winning and Emmy award winning director, Rommel Villa. This SAG production will be filmed this spring in Los Angeles. It will then be presented to networks, streamers, and studios for a full season backing.

Grant Rivers Productions, LLC has been producing live action films for the last 3 years. Producer and co-writer, Gordon Schaye, is a highly successful short film producer featured in many festivals. Gordon and his production company have expanded into feature film and TV productions.

Emmanuel Ogwang is a screenwriter and content creator with international projects and experience garnered from cities such as London, Los Angeles to Beijing, Amsterdam, Hong Kong and Taipei.
