The Webcam That Lets You See Eye to Eye. Create a positive connection in every call.

Story

Eye contact is essential for building personal and professional relationships, yet laptops and webcams don’t allow it. They operate at angles that break natural eye contact, which reduces feelings of trust and connection.

Eye-to-Cam 2 solves this problem by allowing you to talk face to face, as you would do in person.

Standard webcams give a depressed, negative impression, because they capture your face from above or below. But with Eye-to-Cam 2 you can avoid angles that are unnatural, awkward, and impersonal, and instead speak face-to-face with perfect video quality, in order to create the best impression.

With Eye-to-Cam 2 you can make presentations, read slides, slide notes and memos, and maintain eye contact throughout, thanks to the position of the camera.

The Eye-to-Cam 2 is just 0.6inch / 1.5cm wide, and never blocks your view, with a suction pad that is small and transparent. While the cable is just 0.1inch / 0.2cm wide, and hardly visible.

This is the most flexible webcam in the world. You can easily move it around the screen if needed, and adjust the angle to get it just how you want it.

Most laptops (including the MacBook Pro) use a 720p webcam, which is low quality for a Zoom or Teams call. The Eye-to-Cam 2 offers far better image quality with a 1080p high resolution and 30fps high-grade streaming, by using Omnivisionâ„¢ – industry-leading image sensor technology.

Eye-to-Cam 2 can even offer 4K as an additional option, and also autofocus, both of which are unique extras that are not available in any other eye-contact webcam on the market, and offer a level of image quality and framing that is simply unbeatable.(Normal version is manual focus adjustment.)

The frame rate for the 4K type is 15 fps. If it is used for business web conferencing, this frame rate is sufficient to make a good impression on you.

If you are using it for live streaming or other video recording, we recommend purchasing the normal 1080P version due to its lower frame rate.

Rather than use a standard wide-angle lens that shows too much of the background (maybe a messy room!) the Eye-to-Cam 2 has an optimized field of view (FOV) to 78 degrees, which is more natural for face-to-face communication.

When you’re not using the Eye-to-Cam 2 you can easily put it on the back or side of your monitor or computer, and take it out in a split-second when you need it. A cable hook is also provided for easy storage.

The Eye-to-Cam 2 can be used anywhere, on both desktops and laptops (Windows, Mac OS, Linux). You can use it with your computer’s built-in microphone, or choose to add a high quality condenser microphone from us (with a 1.5m cable) as part of your package. Also, whenever needed, the camera can also be used to take pictures too.

The impact of Covid forced the world to start working from home, and our engineers saw that low image quality and lack of eye contact in standard webcams just wasn’t good enough, for business calls, or for connecting with family and friends.

We are based in the heart of Japan (Gifu Prefecture) and we create completely new concepts and products that aim to help people in their daily lives. We love to create and improve in order to solve problems that might help the world.

In 2021 we created Eye-to-Cam 1, a concept model. It launched in Japan and was bought by thousands of people and created positive feedback.

However, this first product was larger, and hung from the top of the screen. It allowed eye to eye calls, but obstructed the view of the screen and was difficult to adjust the camera angle and position. Meanwhile some small companies were launching eye contact cameras with exactly the same format and design. Therefore, we decided to make a better camera…

We wanted to improve screen visibility. Therefore, we decided to use a small and extremely lightweight camera that could be attached to the screen with a suction cup. This removed visual obstruction and meant the camera was easier to position, adjust, and store.

We included newer tech to allow higher image quality (superior to the standard on the market) and created more than 10 different suction cup prototypes, to get just the right one (as small as possible, but able to stay attached for 3 whole working day).

By placing the cord under the camera and making it ultra-thin, we created a far better visual experience. And we added options for the user, such as separate lapel mic, autofocus, 4K etc.

We are now launching Eye-to-Cam 2 to the world, to make video calls better everywhere!
