The FIXTOTE is a new style of tote bag that uses the basic principles of Newtonian physics, combined with the knowledge gained at Tokyo Institute of Technology, and that has been tested and trialled over the last 8 years.

This particular bag is something that we hope users are able to use both in their daily life and for business, for times when you need to carry a lot of items, such as going on a business trip or a day out!

POINT1.Expands like a bellows so you can fit all your belongings inside! 

We we asked by a number of users of one of our different products, the Dalton, to increase the amount of belongings that the user can store inside, so we did our best to increase this storage capacity! 

POINT2. Now includes a variety of pockets for your belongings

POINT3. Contains a cushioned sleeve for your laptop.

You can fit a laptop of up to 15.6 inches into the pocket.

POINT4.Removing the nuisance that came with non-magnetic parts and a hanging buckle!

With a different series that we launched, the Dalton, many users wanted us to change the parts on the bottom of the back, as the buckle would hand and get in the way. So we’ve changed the d rings on the bottom to metal so that you can magnetically attach the buckle!

We have tried parts and materials from all over the world, testing them with how they work and have been able to settle on the best parts we think we can find for this bag. We hope that it has increased the ease of use of the bag for users!

You can fit a laptop with a screen of up to 15.6 inches in to the pocket. (please note that some laptops of that screen size may not fit due to having a larger than normal body. It depends on the make of the laptop)

You can just fit it around the body and easy attach.

The buckle makes a pleasing sound when it attaches that lets you know that it has attached properly even if you hold it close to the clasp and let it go before fully inserting.

We try to do this via our products which we feel are full of appeal and charm, which is due to their design and the appeal points. We hope that with this project you can feel the appeal of our bags!! 

The start of the FIXTOTE was around 2011, and the idea came from something that happened to me.

I was heading home from a long day at work via bicycle, and I had a totebag slung over my shoulder. You can imagine what happened next. The totebag slipped down as I was riding down a hill, got trapped in the wheel, and I fell off hard on to my back. It was pretty bad. 

I never really cared about the design or functionality of the tote bags I was using, I just liked to use tote bags, but after this accident, getting on a bike with one was a rather scary experience, and tended not to do so. I completely changed how I carried things when riding a bike, and started to use a back pack, or messenger bag when I didn’t need to carry so much stuff. 

The idea of a tote bag that would stay came to my mind around that time. 

I liked the idea of a tote bag, and I thought that I could use an extra strap to help keep it close to the body, which then meant that when riding my bike it wouldn’t move and I could walk with both hands free. 

It was through the prototype that I could feel that unlike the tote bag I would use normally, my hands were free and I could feel less of a burden on my body. 

As the bag was also fixed in place, the swaying was reduced and this made it feel a lot easier to carry the bag around. 

From then, with help from an associate professor of biomechanics, and extensive trial and error and testing, we were able to after 8 years able to come up with the bag that we have today. 

With expanded usability and storage capacity, the FIXTOTE was born!
