GoSun Sport-E is built to go with you on the adventure. The legs (which become handles) and reflectors protect the durable Pyrex glass oven when folded into a compact, 7 lb (3kg) seven pound system. Best of all, the vacuum oven lasts for 30 years, and can easily be replaced. 

 

The vacuum tube provides incredible insulation, so you can solar cook in the wind, freezing cold or clouds. Plus, it keeps meals hot and juicy for hours. Thanks to the NASA-inspired integrated heating circuit, you can now cook at 350°F (177°C) even when the sun isn’t shining – in your home, vehicle, job site or at night.

 

There are two ways to cook delicious meals in the Sport-E:

 SOLAR: direct solar rays are turned into heat, regardless of air temperature

 ELECTRIC: plug into 12 volt DC power from a vehicle or powerbank to run cooking tray

 

 

12 volt DC is the most common port in the world. Every car built since the 1950’s gives you the ability to cook with its auxiliary power outlet or “cigarette plug.” Upgrade to a package with our two pound lithium ion battery, Power144, for a complete oven on your shoulder.

Remove the combustion, pots and pans, and your cooking becomes easy. GoSun’s all-in-one approach makes the Sport-E simple to use, maintain and clean. Most of the mess stays in the stainless steel cooking tray, making clean-up a breeze. Occasionally, food debris builds up inside the oven which is easily cleaned with soap, water and the included scrubby.

Thanks to the vacuum tube’s near perfect insulation meals cook at 350°F (177°C), regardless of the temperature outside. Now, our engineering team has perfected the integrated heating element to also achieve 350°F. All this, without burning your food. 

In solar cooking mode, you’re converting up to 80% of sunlight into heat. Since food is cooking within a vacuum insulated oven, the electric heater draws only 80 watts, one tenth of a conventional electric stove or microwave oven.

 

There is no limitation and no compromise with GoSun.  The sun shines everywhere,  so the GoSun goes where you go. The Sport-E is TSA compliant and you won’t have to worry about liquid fuel regulations, burning restrictions, or re-fueling.

Temperature control is achieved via several methods, and a cooked meal is easy to spot (color, steam, smell). Plus, the integrated GoSun Dial ensures you’re pointed at the sun for optimal performance. 

Speed and reliability are our specialty at GoSun. You won’t find a solar oven or electric oven that can keep up with the Sport-E. Cook times vary based on the quality of sunlight, volume of food, and water content, but it never takes more than 35 minutes in good conditions. Cook times with electric are a tad slower than with good sun.

Not ready to eat what you cooked, yet? No worries, just close the reflectors or turn off the 12volt power, and your meal will remain super insulated within the vacuum oven. Heat can be retained for hours so you’ll always find a fresh, juicy, hot bite waiting inside….late night snack, anyone?
