Much of what Americans, and the world at large, have been led to believe about Hispanics is only half-true – which means it’s a Big Lie! For centuries an anti-Spanish anti-Catholic troop, known as the Black Legend (La Leyenda Negra) has permeated Anglo culture, history and academia across the globe and the true contributions that Spain and Hispanics have made has been neglected.
“Hispanic America: The Untold Story” is a 4-Part Documentary Film that shares the true, untold story of the original Hispanics who arrived in America over a decade before the Pilgrims and the Mayflower and the contributions we have made, and continue to make, to the American way of life including:
* Spain’s role in helping the 13 American colonies finance and win the Revolutionary War
* The early Hispanics fought in the American Revolution including Bernardo de Galvez
*The little-known story of Spanish Land Grants and their modern-day heirs
*The “Black Legend” and its negative impact on Hispanic history and culture
*Spain’s role in protecting Native American Rights and Property
*Hispanics role in the American Economy ($2 Trillion Purchasing Power)
*The rise of the Hispanic entrepreneur and Latina’s role in starting new businesses

Impact of the Documentary Film
It is our intention that the Film be a catalyst for education and discussion about the true and accurate history of Hispanics in America and our role in shaping the current United States of America. Currently, much of our history is not taught in our educational system and worse, a distorted Negative Narrative is being shared in our colleges and universities.Â

It costs about $1,000 per edited minute to produce and distribute a film today. Our current budget is $174,500. We have raised some start-up funds to begin filming and our Fundraising Goal for this crowdfunding campaign is $50,000.Â
