We’ve invented the world’s first blender with a Magnetic Air Drive (aka MAD) at its core. There is no motor in the blender base, instead we use a powerful magnetic field generator which is absolutely silent. The spinning magnetic disk inside of the blending lid is hermetically sealed, so you can barely hear it. No spinning parts, no vibration, no noise. In fact, the only sound you’ll hear is from the ingredients being crushed.

Our innovative MAD technology has allowed us to design a portable blender base that is amazingly slim and lightweight – it’s only 26 ounces (750 grams). You can think of the base as a portable power bank that you can take wherever you go. millo air is small enough to be taken on a plane!
We have taken the storage of blender to a whole new level! millo air can be wall mounted on a specially designed Magnetic Hook that also happens to be a cordless charger (the hook is connected to a universal USB-C charger). This allows you to keep your tabletop clean, while also giving the convenience of having your blender close at hand.
There is no spinning parts in the base, and there is also a seamless magnetic connection between the base and blending lid. This has allowed us to completely seal the base and keep it dust resistant and waterproof, while still complying with industry IP67 protection requirements. Blending is no longer only something you can do inside – you can even use your millo air on the beach!
Introducing the first of its kind consistency control setting. millo’s smart electronics will recognise the change of drink’s consistency in real time. Just set the level from roughly blended to silky smooth.

Let’s rewind a few years. All the way back to 2016.
To wake up his wife and daughter early in the morning or skip a nutritious morning energy boost. That was the dilemma facing millo’s founder Adam. After looking around for a solution and not finding any, he decided to take the task of creating one into his own hands.
As Adam himself says, “millo was born out of the frustration that is experienced by nearly everybody making smoothies.” Smoothie makers are incredibly noisy and washing them is a major pain. This robs us of the option of a quick and healthy meal, and the desire to improve our diet is given up due to a lack of time and convenience.
While the problem was clear, the solution was far from it. Eventually, the idea for how millo might work came from a toy. It was a music box with dancers spinning on top of it. The trick there was that the dancers weren’t physically attached to any motor, they were spun magnetically!
That was it. The way the blender could work. This would allow it to be silent, easy to clean and good looking. And once a talented engineer had been found, and the proof of concept had been tested, millo was on its way.

Risks & Challenges
We have thought long and hard about the various aspects of producing millo air and have come to several decisions. Some of them were harder than others, but every single one of them has been made so that we can deliver you the best possible product in a timely manner.
To avoid the issues that arise with large scale sourcing and manufacturing, we have even opted to limit the initial production run to only 5000 units in total.
That said, there’s still a chance, albeit not a big one, that things can go wrong. In that case always remember:
Transparency and integrity are two things we strongly believe in. We are a small, close knit team and are able to adapt and resolve any issues quickly if they arise. Not one of us likes to be left in the dark and we have personally backed projects on Kickstarter before. You can rest assured that even if there are issues we will be responsive and issue timely updates about them to keep you in the know.
