Crafted from recycled polypropylene, our sunglasses are incredibly resilient. Polypropylene is a material that combines excellent flexibility with high tensile strength.

We are revolutionizing eyewear not only through sustainability but also with nano-science. We created NanoFlexâ„¢, our new custom modification of the recycled polypropylene, transforming plastic waste into a high quality sunglasses material that can bend and flex extremely without breaking.

We use top quality metal hinges made in Germany, and we’ve redesigned the hinges sockets of our previous Mangrove Sunglasses  to add three times more strength. Embrace this new reinforced design with an extra dose of toughness.

 

 

For the last two years, we’ve been placing river barriers that stop trash before it enters our oceans, powered by the sales of our previous campaigns and inspired by the work of Sungai Watch in Bali.

After 2 years of hard work, we’re finally completing the circle by transforming the plastic we collect from our barriers into OceanGuard Sunglasses, to fund more barriers.

Instead of polluting our planet, the more OceanGuard Sunglasses you back, the more trash we can capture before it enters our oceans.

 

We couldn’t find any manufacturer in the world to turn our river barriers plastic into sunglasses. But that didn’t stop us. We hired some of the best designers on the planet, imported top-notch machines from England and created our own Plastic Innovation Center in Bali to produce the sunglasses ourselves.

We combine the recovered plastic from our river barriers with other plastic waste from Bali and Java.

 

 

 

For this collection, we worked with the Italian sunglasses designer Alessandro De Monte. With an impressive portfolio boasting renowned brands such as North Face, Gucci, Diesel, and Puma, De Monte brings his  20 years of expertise to create an exceptional line of sunglasses for you.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Our sunglasses are not only durable and flexible, but also very lightweight, and designed to fit like a dream. This makes our frames  so comfortable you’ll forget you’re wearing them. Perfectly balanced to offer the ultimate comfort for hiking, biking, or exploring the world without pain.

 

Our frames will be handcrafted in our Innovation Center in Bali using the plastic waste that we collect from our river barriers combined with other ocean-bound plastic. Thanks to that process, each pair will have its own unique texture, making your pair the only pair like it in the world. These are not just excellent sustainable sunglasses, they are a work of art.

 

 

 

Once the campaign is successfully completed, we will send out a survey via BackerKit to choose your designs and color. Shipping will be charged after the campaign finishes on a platform called BackerKit. Approx $7 per order. *VAT/Customs must be paid by you once the parcel arrives at your destination country. You’ll be notified via SMS and Email. This doesn’t apply to the USA.

 

For every $50k we raise in this campaign, we will place one additional PANGEA barrier. The more sunglasses you back, the more trash we can prevent from entering our oceans!
