• The metal project ‘Stonolympic’ is a compilation album about Tokyo olympics 2020. Songs are composed by 5 metal bands belonging to Cosmic Frequency Records based in Kyoto. Japan.

• Stonolympicとは京都を中心に活動しているコミュニティーレーベルのCosmic Frequency Recordsに所属している５組のメタルバンドが東京オリンピックをテーマに書き下ろした曲を集めたコンピレーションアルバムです。

• Doom metal/ Stoner band from Kyoto, Japan. 

Formed in 2018 as the first band project of Cosmic Frequency Records. 

They started as a Heavy blues rock band but after changing members and mixing their music background. They found their music in the Doom/Stoner metal genre.

This is their first studio recording.

Melodic death metal band from London/Kyoto.

Formed in 2006 in japan.  But was mostly based in London until 2017.                               

After moving back to Kyoto. Japan.  They re-formed their members and finished their 2nd full album ‘Death of the sun’.

2006年に結成されたメロディックデスメタルバンド。

結成後すぐに拠点をロンドンへ移したため、2017年までほとんどの活動はロンドンとなり、その後、メンバーを再編成して、京都を拠点に活動。　2019年には2ndアルバム ‘Death of the sun’を発売した。

今回の音源がCosmic Frequency Recordsでの最初の音源となる。

We started up this project a few years before the Tokyo Olympics 2020. But the world is in an unusual situation because of the corona virus. And now Tokyo Olympic is postponed.

This has cost us unnecessary financial loss.  

We almost gave up releasing this record once, but this original conception was not about the Tokyo Olympics. The Tokyo Olympics is just a theme.

It was Stonolympic which we created a fictional olympic games in our unconscious world. So we decided not to follow the date of the actual olympic games. And We decided to crowdfund as we would like to go all in on this project and refine its quality.

2020年の東京オリンピックの開催に合わせて数年前よりプロジェクトを立ち上げ、進めておりましたが、オリンピックの延期という異例の事態により、予想外の損失が出てしまい、一度は発売を諦めかけましたが、そもそものコンセプトが東京オリンピックではなく、あくまで東京オリンピックをテーマに作った架空のオリンピック Stonolympicという事で、実際のオリンピックの開催を無視して発売させたいと思いに至り、このクラウドファンディングを立ち上げました。

We set the price at the minimum cost for releasing this album.

We would like to spend all money for production of the album (mastering, CD printing, Album sleeve). 

We planned to organize the event in kyoto this Oct. But Ygodeh had to cancel as no flights were flying to japan.

So as an extended goal, we’d like to put the money towards organizing two shows.

A smaller event in Oct in Kyoto first, and hopefully another one next year with Ygodeh.      

このクラウドファンディングの資金は各バンドの制作費、マスタリング代、CDプリント代、ジャケット代に充てさせていただき、CDの発売というのが第一の目標となります。

次の目標といたしまして、10月24日（土）に開催予定しておりましたKyoto Blue Eyesでのイベントの開催です。

元々は２日間のイベントでしたが、Ygodeh含む多数のキャンセルが発生しましたが、24日の１日間だけと規模を縮小して開催したいのと、来年ygodehを再び呼んでの元々のイベントを開催する費用に充てさせて頂きます。
