Who are we:

We are a team of software and hardware developers that have primarily been working in the vehicle telematics industry from its conception. We have across the team extensive knowledge of hardware design, manufacturing, certification processes, testing and full-stack software development.

RemnantLink has been a passion for the last three years. With increasing censorship, moves to central bank digital currencies, and the increasing risk of war, RemnantLink provides users with the means to stay connected and private with censorship-resistant communications and keep control of their future by having the ability to send and receive crypto payments outside of the existing and future system while been integrated with these systems when necessary.

How it Works

RemnantLink Pairs with your phone via Bluetooth, connecting the RemnantLink radio and wallet device to the RemnantLink iOS and Android app.

When a text message is sent in the Remnant-Link App, the RemnantLink device broadcasts the message, and any in-range devices receive the message and rebroadcast it, intelligently routing and repeating the message until the message finds the recipient device. Once delivered, delivery confirmation is returned.

The Product Range

The product range comprises three devices and optional node software that runs on any Windows, Mac, Linux or Raspberry Pi computer. Each product serves a different function.

Only connect devices are required to provide text messaging services. The solar-powered router makes it easy to extend the range of the network, and the pro with node software connects your mesh network to others around the world and can also provide payment services.

What We Need

We are looking to raise £250,000 in funding to launch RemnantLink into full production.

Project Objectives:

• Value Engineering and Optimization: To ensure the efficient production of RemnantLink, we will conduct value engineering for all three product variants. By streamlining the production process, we can deliver RemnantLink devices to the community at an affordable cost.
• Crypto Security Audit: We recognize the importance of robust security for our users. We will hire an external crypto security specialist to conduct comprehensive penetration tests on the platform and blockchain. This ensures that RemnantLink is resistant to potential threats and provides users with the highest level of protection for their crypto payments.
• iOS and Android Production Release: We are committed to delivering a seamless user experience across both iOS and Android platforms. With your support, we can complete the development of the Android app and QA on both platforms, ensuring the RemnantLink app is ready for production release.
• Manufacturing: Proceeds from the crowdfunding campaign will be used to initiate first the initial test run and the full manufacturing process, enabling us to produce RemnantLink devices at scale.

Risks and challenges

This is not the first product we have brought to market. The RemnantLink team has brought several products to market over the years, most notably RouteMaster vehicle tracking, job dispatch and route optimisation solution (www.route-master.com).

We have produced several in-house electronic products, GPS vehicle tracking devices with GSM/GPRS modems from conception to full production, CE, FCC and Type approval and ongoing change management.

For RemnantLink, we have mature software stacks, and many of the software modules we have used are open-source projects that we have combined and refined for an effortless user experience that you would expect from any consumer electronics product.

We are confident of our designs and have been testing our final prototype design for over six months, and the performance of all three devices is excellent.

But with any project, there are risks:

Chip shortages have previously affected some of the components used in our devices. To mitigate the risk, we have two working and tested chipsets that our firmware runs on for both the CPU and radio front ends. Both chipsets are from different manufacturers, and we have two design sets for each product, so we can easily switch between the two, minimising the potential impact of any component shortages.

Although RemnantLink works everywhere, we cannot deliver everywhere. RemnantLink uses free-to-air channels available in most countries as a communication device. If you cannot find your country in the drop-down menu when you try to enter your shipping address, please get in touch with us and let us know, and we’ll do our best to get back to you as soon as possible.

In some countries, completing any required approval process can take several months. This means that some international orders will be held until the necessary certification is completed when we begin shipping.
