The case back is made of a combination of 316L stainless steel and mineral glass. This screw-down cover provides the wearer a view of the decorated rotor, giving the movement some character.

 

 

 

 

Your opulent piece is durable and proportionately weighted by the angular octagonal case of 316L stainless steel. Using circular and vertical brushing in combination with polished surfaces, no detail was left to chance for a watch designed to withstand water resistance for up to 100M (10 ATM).

 

 

 

The Calendar features two dial configurations (matte and sunburst) which have been carefully chosen to compliment the different dial colours and elements. Featuring 4 sub-dials, a slanted inner ring, applied markings, a date window, it is always a sight to behold. With different elements and finishes that can be appreciated in different lighting conditions.

 

 

 

The Calendar features BGW9 Superluminova on the hour and minute hands as well the applied indices.

 

 

 

 The bracelet is a custom stainless steel bracelet with a dual deployment clasp. It also has both vertical brush and polished finishing. It features female solid end links with quick-release spring bars making it easy to switch to a leather strap for a more dressy look. The bracelet is 20mm tapering to 18mm at the clasp.

The SOVRYGN brand was founded by Hamzat, a watch enthusiast who is originally from Nigeria and moved to Canada in 2011 to study Engineering. Before moving to Canada, he has always had a passion for watches owing to his curiosity about how things worked and receiving them as gifts during his childhood.

 

In the final years of high school and in university Hamzat started collecting and flipping watches for some extra cash. He also had a business where he served as a finder helping customers source timepieces, in addition to that he also operated a website selling watches from brands like Citizen, Bulova, Orient and some fashion brands like Guess and Michael Khors.

 

Considering the experience gained collecting, selling, and enjoying watches in combination with the design experience gained while studying to become an engineer Hamzat developed the SOVRYGN brand to express his creativity. The Calendar collection further showcases Hamzat’s superpower in his ability to bring different elements (in this case the 5 complications of the Calendar) together to create perfect harmony on the dial.
