WONDER AIRLINES is a boutique Airbnb near Wonder Valley, California, made from a vintage Boeing KC97 Airplane. Situated on 37 acres of secluded desert vistas, surrounded by distant mountains and endless horizons, your experience at Wonder Airlines will look and feel like a dream. This is a First Class experience unlike any other; Your own private 2 story plane complete with all the comforts of a luxury home.

NOT A TIN CAN

This is NOT a tin can. The Boeing Stratocruiser is a 2 story massive luxury plane. 2 lounges, a complete kitchen, 3 bathrooms and sleeping arrangements for 6. You’ll feel right at home in this dreamliner. 

TAKE IN THE UNIVERSE

Wonder Valley and 29 Palms have strict dark night sky ordinances and therefore have some of the darkest night skies in all of California. At Wonder Airlines the milky way is a regular visitor in our night sky. Lie-down in our stargazing loungers and look up at the universe.

BEYOND THE PLANE

Everything you would expect from a luxury hotel:  hottub, luxurious pool, a yoga and meditation platform, there are plenty of ways to enjoy the desert at Wonder Airlines.

A SWING FROM THE WING

Playful and relaxing. Several custom swings will hang from the wings of the plane, a surreal and beautiful experience. There will also be several hammock areas around the grounds.

AIRBNB APPROVED

In December of 2020, I quit my job as a cinematographer and moved to Joshua Tree to rebuild an abandoned house. While finishing the house, Airbnb launched the OMG! Fund Design Contest. I entered with the concept for Wonder Airlines, and in October of 2022, I was selected as one of the winners from the 12,000 entries!

Despite its seclusion, Wonder Airlines is centrally located in the High Desert, close to many attractions. Just a short drive from the property you will find popular restaurants, breweries, museums/art galleries, and Joshua Tree National Park.

WHEN WILL IT BE READY?

Our soft opening will be in January of 2025. Our official launch has a tentative opening date in March 2025. Though there are none currently, unforeseen delays could push that out. We will be regularly posting progress updates and keep our community up to date once we have landed on an exact opening date.
