We Are Folklore, in Napa

Folklore is a record store, café, coffee, wine & cocktail bar, and the future home of KCMU 103.3fm. 

At Folklore, we want you to come in and listen to music, buy some new or used records, meet friends, meet new people, use our wi-fi – whilst having a cocktail, a glass of wine, some coffee or tea, and a bite if you’re so inclined.  

We have over 10,000 new and used records on hand with more coming every day. We have equipment ordered, design and permits nearing completion.  Every day we get a little closer to opening so why this campaign?

There are a few reasons why we are reaching out for your support:

• We bought our building at 1226 Third Street in downtown Napa so that we would be our own landlords, but paying mortgage on a building while waiting for permits is not fun. We were hoping the process would not take this long, but it did.  Thankfully we are now on track to open July 2023!
• Inflation.  Out best laid plans got more expensive quickly. 
• Oh, and more inflation.
• This gorgeous building was completed in 1910.  She has needed a little more work than anticipated.
• And, we are excited to offer you our cool merchandise for your donation! 

 

What We Need & What You Get

For your generous donation to Folklore, we are excited to offer you these packages:

• $75 – Folklore t-shirt and coffee mug   
• $150 – Folklore T-shirt, coffee mug and Baggu Bag along with a $25 gift certificate (good in store for coffee, food, music, et cetera or for online sales at folklore-napa.com)
• $250 – Folklore T-shirt, slip mat, coffee mug, Baggu Bag and $100 gift certificate (good in store for coffee, food, music, et cetera or for online sales at folklore-napa.com)
• $500 – Invitation to opening party for two including classic cocktails, beer, wine and food.  Both guests will receive a t-shirt and $50 gift certificate. (good in store for coffee, food, music, et cetera or for online sales at folklore-napa.com)  Limit of 30
• $750 – A pre-opening shopping spree.  This will allow you to come into the store prior to opening to select:
  • 10 of your favorite new and/or previously loved records (2 box set equals 2 records, 3 box set equals 3 records, etc).
  • Beverages will be provided along with a slip mat.  You can bring along a guest or two to watch you shop and encourage good choices.  A Folklore Baggu Bag will be included with your haul. 
• $1000 – The pop-up tasting room or office.   If you need some space, our stage can be yours for a customer tasting or meeting for up to 6 people – TWICE.  We will cover glass service, beverages and light food to accompany your event. 
• $7500 – The monthly gathering.  If you need some space, our stage can be yours for a customer tasting or meeting for up to 6 people – ONCE A MONTH for a year.  We will cover glass service,  beverages and light food to accompany your event.  (Limit 2)
