Story

MILKED is an award-winning kiwi blend of Cowspiracy and What The Health – exposing the whitewash of New Zealand’s multi-billion-dollar dairy industry.

It’s an untold story that will shock the world. 

A young activist goes deep into dairy land where he takes on the giants of New Zealand’s most powerful industry, and reveals how the sacred cash-cow industry has been milked dry. His journey exposes not only the sustainability crisis and the dangerous denial of impending agricultural disruption, but also what New Zealand and other countries can do to change their fate.

Executive produced by Keegan Kuhn (Cowspiracy, What The Health) and Suzy Amis Cameron (The Game Changers). Directed and Produced by Amy Taylor (Ahimsa Films) and Co-Produced by Chris Huriwai.

There’s currently no documentary available that reveals the wide-ranging impacts of the dairy industry on animals, the environment, and people – that’s why we made this film. We urgently need to expose what’s being hidden from us, and most importantly, what we can do about it.

The Impact

In March we’ll have the global premiere of MILKED on WaterBear – the first streaming network dedicated to the future of our planet (founded by the producer of Oscar winner My Octopus Teacher). WaterBear is free and is available in 194 countries on mobile app and web.

We also have another plan to make it even more easily accessible and will share details on that soon! 

Through our collective efforts, films like Cowspiracy and What the Health have had a huge global impact – and we can do this again.
