All the components in Tawa are crafted with natural real wood! They bring out the delicious tactile nature of the wooden pieces.

A 100% Handmade Leather Bag to carry your Tawa game, and a 10 Mins Hourglass for timing when you are playing the Solo Mode can also be pledged in different reward tiers. The hourglass also comes with a high quality Hourglass Cloth Bag.  The 10 mins hourglass can fit perfectly into the handmade leather bag with the Tawa game together.

The entire design process of Tawa was deeply influenced by a range of traditional Japanese art forms. Our aim was to deliver the unique spirit of Japanese art, with its emphasis on balance, harmony, and refined elegance. From the intricate patterns engraved on the wooden box to the carefully crafted game pieces, every element of Tawa draws inspiration from centuries-old artistic practices. The development of Tawa involved thorough testing and several prototypes. Starting from a simple concept, we refined the game’s design and rules through many rounds of play and feedback from diverse testers. We also prototyped different components with different type of materials in order to see which one is the best and look the best, and then choose the best one.
