Welcome to the Alpha Aid Feed Initiative, a lifeline project dedicated to reversing the devastating impact of drought in Namibia. One of the biggest droughts in recent decades began early this year (2024) in southern Africa in Malawi, Zimbabwe and Zambia. Now this drought catastrophe has also arrived in Botswana and Namibia.We are on a mission to secure the future of local farmers by providing sustainable, drought-resistant feed for livestock and game animals. Your support can drive change that not only saves a farm but preserves a culture and ecosystem.

The Problem
Namibia is experiencing its worst drought in decades, forcing farmers to make heart-breaking decisions that could end their traditional way of life forever. Without immediate intervention, the loss of biodiversity and the collapse of local economies is imminent.

Our Solution
Alpha Aid is looking to acquire 200 hectares (approximately 494 acres) of land, which includes 10 hectares (approx 25 acres) that are immediately ready for use, complete with existing irrigation and a greenhouse. This initiative goes beyond expanding farmland; it’s about nurturing hope and creating new opportunities. As we continue to develop this land, we look forward to generating sustainable income and jobs for the community, laying the groundwork for a future where both the land and its people can thrive together.

Our initiative includes:

• Rapid crop turnover: Harvesting feed every six weeks to ensure a constant supply.

• Sustainable practices: Utilizing existing irrigation to maximize efficiency and yield.

• Community-focused approach: Selling feed at cost to keep it affordable for local farmers.
