Who Are The Sisters?

Chartreuse Sisters is a sister-owned French-American fusion bakery that we started in our home kitchen under Cottage Food Law in October 2019. Mallory (pictured above on the left) is the younger sister, the head baker & recipe designer. Alyson (on the right) is the older sister and our marketing manager, photographer & will be our future head of beverage. We are working on a lease agreement with a location on Wealthy Street in Uptown GR and need your help to bring our vision to life!

What’s French-American Fusion?

Our products are inspired by our French-American heritage and our nostalgic food and drink experiences from traveling here and abroad. We combine French & American pastry techniques and pair them with flavor profiles found in both cuisines to create unique and exciting treats!

Mission & Vision

Our mission is to provide outstanding baked goods and beverages in an inclusive, welcoming, and visually stunning environment. Our baked goods menu is always evolving and our non-alcoholic beverage menu will consist of housemade syrups, a classic espresso menu, a selection of teas, and rotating specials, including garnished mocktails and table-side special beverage service. 

Our vision is to change the way people consume coffee and baked goods by providing a transportive experience through our unique flavors, relaxing ambience, and friendly customer service. Our products are created using high quality ingredients, sourced locally when possible. We are proud & excited to be partnering exclusively with Mapcap for our coffee selection!

Funding Needs

Base Kitchen Equipment — this would cover our base kitchen equipment needs such as our oven, 3 compartment sink, 20 qt mixer, refrigerator, freezer, etc

Base Espresso Bar Equipment — this would cover our base equipment such as an espresso machine, espresso & drip grinder, drip brewer, water filtration system, etc

Our Perks

Chartreuse Sisters Logo Sticker: You’ll receive a 3″ circle sticker with the Chartreuse Sisters Logo designed by local artist Matthew Zabler (check out his designs on instagram @sad_sparrow_gallery) to jazz up a laptop, car, water bottle, you name it!

Our Custom Candle Scent: You’ll receive an 8oz candle locally poured at Wax Poetic Candle Bar in Grand Rapids, MI, which we are calling “Pause Café”. One whiff of this candle, and you’ll be transported to a patio on the cobblestone streets of the south of France.

Alyson’s Tea Blend: You’ll receive 1 oz (approximately 8-12 cups of tea) of Alyson’s loose leaf blend, made in collaboration with Global Infusion. It has an Earl Grey base with cacao nibs, cinnamon bark & orange peel.

Mallory’s Tea Blend: You’ll receive 1 oz (approximately 8-12 cups of tea) of Mallory’s loose leaf blend, made in collaboration with Global Infusion. It has an Earl Grey base with rose petals, vanilla bean & cornflower petals. 

12 oz Miir Travel Tumbler: You’ll receive a white, BPA Free, 18/8 stainless steel, 12 oz Travel Tumbler from Miir with our Chartreuse Sisters Logo on it. This leak free design is perfect for those frenzied morning commutes, an adventurous hike or even a relaxing picnic! 

Chartreuse Sisters Crewneck Sweatshirt: You’ll receive a black Crewneck Sweatshirt with our Chartreuse Sisters Logo on the front, printed locally by Unitas Printing (a second chance employer).
