About the Project

This has been a time of great pain and triumph. It has been a time of loss and transformation. Through it all we have found our way. We have persevered. This is a story of triumph, of loss, of heartache, and of pain. Help us tell this story. Help us change the world one story at a time.

“The Shift” is a story told by women, about women and is written/produced/directed by women! We’re committed to creating a collaborative environment that gives a voice to women creators from all walks of life, especially in these times of historic change.

Story

“The Shift” follows the lives of 7 individuals as they navigate the ripple effect of the pandemic we are still experiencing today. We do not focus on the pandemic, rather on the human connections and interruptions that impact the characters’ daily lives. We follow a love story between two young people as they navigate their self discovery and search for their family’s acceptance. We follow a doctor who grapples with the beginning wave, capturing the rare moments of solitude and reflection amid the chaos of their daily life. We follow a domestic abuse victim as they desperately attempt to patch an already broken existence. Help us tell their story; help us give these unique characters the voice they deserve amidst the chaos.

Risks & Challenges

Covid 19 has obliterated so many normalcies (for better and worse) in the US, and we wanted to build a project around that Shift in society. Our story focuses on human connections and how they are altered during the beginning of this pandemic. We follow 7 people as they navigate these abrupt and brutal change to their lives. 

We are currently in pre production for The Shift, and aim to be filming in late August/ early September. We need your support to make that happen! With all of the additional (and greatly needed) regulations to keep everyone safe during this challenging time, we need support to make sure everyone remains safe throughout our process.

Meet The Team

Jade Tailor is our Director/Writer extraordinaire. She is most known for her role of Kady on SciFi’s “The Magicians”. Jade recently completed writing/directing a short film called “Within the Silence”. 
Brittany Curran is our brilliant Producer/Actress on “The Shift”. Brittany is also known for her work on “The Magicians” as Fen, “Dear White People” and “13 Going on 30”.

Sarah Wylie is our vivacious Executive Producer/Producer on “The Shift”. When we first went into quarantine she knew she wanted to come out of this new Covid era with a solid and gorgeous piece of work. She reached out to Jade, who later brought on Brittany and this beautiful project was born.
